We believe watching and listening to journeys and experiences, not only inspires and motivates, it also gives the respectful recognition and spotlight these champions of India need to have fair and equal access to resources and do even better.
The social sector is large. Surprisingly, stakeholders know only their type and not others. For example, social entrepreneurs know each other, philanthropists know other philanthropists, policy makers know each other, and similarly, program heads, CSR heads.
The degree of separation between stakeholders is huge. Funders are always looking for the right organisation to fund, impact organisations are always on the lookout for funders.
The social sector is ridden with cynicism with regards to transparency, efficiency. Those who need funding don`t have the funds to put their energies behind public visibility. They are also shy and not necessarily articulate, which makes matters worse.
We are In Pursuit Of... building role models and helping all stakeholders in the sector make authentic connections. Showcasing stakeholders of the Indian social sector in an easy video tête-à-tête where they can share freely, and where they can also learn from each others experiences. Each has a powerful story to tell.
Our journalism and documentary filmmaking background makes us naturally look for authenticity in our research.
Our research to find authentic stakeholders to interview, is purposeful, positive and takes time. We look for people who have a story to tell, who have interesting journeys or propositions, but most importantly are open and willing to share their knowledge and experiences towards the hope of better collaborations.
We ensure we know enough about them before we call them aboard our show.

Umesh Matkar likes to remain in the shadows and is our Batman. He emerges in the night and works to save our talk show... snipping away all the bloopers and building a story worth listening to.
While Umesh has been around for the years that saw beta cut to cut machines, he is far from old-school in his editing style.
Demetrius Newton is the one we rely on to manage our social media. This young man gives great suggestions that the two mid-aged founders are only too happy to take up. He also help us make sense of YouTube`s analytics.

Anita Balagopalan has over 20 years` experience in Journalism and Video Production, Scriptwriting & Digital Media Publishing. She has worked with Network 18 (India), Sassy Media Group (Hong Kong) and has also run her own video production company, Greenspot Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
Our youngest team member Anita Bhengra picked up Ultimate Frisbee while at school. She soon began coaching younger children and then joined as a member of competitive team GK Mad. Post her graduation, she worked at Decathlon as a sports leader. Currently, she splits her time between working as a guest coordinator for In Pursuit Of and an administration executive at Y-Ultimate.
